Production Lines Type UMA for wrapping drainpipes
Our production lines Type UMA wrap flexible drainpipes or pole pipes with a filter in order to improve the water balance of the ground. Special characteristics of the ground, for instance the water permeability, soil structure and porosity determine the type of filter. Thickness, weight, density as well as pore size and volume of the filter must be adjusted accordingly. Filters of natural or synthetic fibres have proven well in application. The filter medium is given as loose fibres or precast geotextiles.

The use of drainage in watered areas in dry climate zones prevents a salinisation of the ground, because the salt-leading water is continuously drained off.
